60 SECONDS WITH HOWARD HIRST OF LINIAR
Last year you won a FIT Show award for ‘Best Stand Over 80m2‘, are you looking to retain the title for 2017?
We know we’ve set the bar high after winning the award last year, and this time we’re teaming up with our sister company, Avantek Machinery, to share the biggest stand at the show.
While it’s always nice to add awards to our growing collection, our main consideration when coming up with the concept for the stand has been to ensure that the visitor experience will be even more outstanding than last time.
In 2016, new product, Alumina by Liniar bi-folds, attracted many visitors to your stand – what will be the main attraction for Liniar this year?
The launch of the ‘Alumina by Liniar’ aluminium bi-folding door system last year proved highly successful, so we’re introducing the next addition to the range – the Alumina flush door – to complement our popular flush sash window range.
We’re also excited to reveal Liniar’s new top secret system, which is firmly under wraps until the first day of the show.
What are you most looking forward to about the show?
We believe the best thing about the FIT Show is that it provides us with the chance to catch up with a large amount of our customers over the three days, find out how things are going with their businesses and allow them to get hands on with any new additions to the range.
It’s also an ideal opportunity for potential new customers to find out what sets Liniar apart from other systems houses, to see the products and talk to one of our experts about how we could benefit their business.
We’ll also be able to entertain visitors in our upper deck café, which we’ll be sharing with Avantek.
What are your thoughts on the NEC as a venue?
Although Telford’s International Centre has been an ideal venue for the FIT Show to build up to the success it has become, it’s really a natural progression for it to be moved to the NEC.
Its central location makes the NEC much more accessible for exhibitors and visitors alike, while the considerable difference in size means that the show can accommodate more stands than ever before.
Although we’re looking forward to the NEC debut, we hope the show doesn’t lose some of the ‘personal touch’ that’s been apparent previously. We’ll all find out in May!
Why should visitors head to the Liniar/Avantek stand?
As well as the new launches, we’ll be showcasing all the matching products in the Liniar range, including full sets of Alumina and ModLok bi-folding doors, the ModLok patio system, flush sash and casement windows, doors, roofline, installation products, decking kits and the innovative Liniar conservatory roof.
Our friendly stand staff will be on hand to answer any questions that visitors may have and we’ve lots of giveaways planned too.
Avantek will have a range of machinery on show, with experienced members of the team available to offer advice on how they can help manufacturing operations as well as explaining the advantages of dealing with the company.
We look forward to welcoming fabricators, installers and specifiers to the Liniar/Avantek stand L10 in hall 7.
