These great people want to build better, stronger, more profitable businesses. And there are lots of them. Inventors, Designers, Trainers, Engineers, Extruders, Fabricators and at the end of the line – Installers.
Before 2013 - before FIT Show - those Installers who sought to build a better business for themselves and better places to live for the people of our country faced a problem. They wanted to advance, but they were busy people.
The great innovators, the businesses who gave ambitious Installers the tools to make people’s homes more attractive, comfortable, flexible, warm and secure were out there, but spread across the land.
They were not always easy to find.
HOW COULD AMBITIOUS AND TALENTED PEOPLE REALISE THEIR POTENTIAL WITHOUT A PLATFORM TO SUPPORT THAT AMBITION?
In 2013, two entrepreneurs who worked in the window and conservatory market, Paul Godwin and Matthew Glover, decided to give them one.
They decided to bring together all of the companies who could help determined, passionate and forward-thinking Installers in one place. They created FIT Show. An event where all the best products, services, ideas, innovations and concepts which supported the ambition of the Installer and allowed them to create a more prosperous, successful and progressive company would be available to them at the investment of just one day of their time.
They were told by many it wouldn’t work. There wasn’t enough innovation. Exhibitors wouldn’t go. People wouldn’t go. The ambition in the industry wasn’t there. But they believed it was. And they were right. They came in droves. Not just Installers, but people from all sorts of companies who wanted to find the tools for business improvement.
And that platform was not just a stimulus for FIT Show’s thousands of visitors; it was an environment for suppliers to demonstrate their products and ideas in person, face-to-face, one that would simultaneously encourage them to drive innovation and progression in the sector, now they had a forum to celebrate it
Products were bought, deals were done, connections were made, relationships were reaffirmed, ideas were absorbed.
The Installers had their platform for business improvement, and they used it to create better, stronger, more progressive and more profitable companies.
They went from ambitious but frustrated business owners to ambitious, world-class business owners.
WHERE THEY CAN SEE THE BEST IN THE INDUSTRY, TO ALLOW THEM TO BE THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS.
And the Exhibitors got what they wanted too, more sales - a place to connect with thousands of previously inaccessible customers in just a few hours. They improved their businesses at the same time.
That is the story of FIT Show. The story of the ambitious Installer who needs a platform to help them to fulfil their ambition.
Many things have changed since 2013. Technology has changed, as have market dynamics and the habits and behaviours of those inside and outside of the industry.
FIT Show has gotten bigger. Much bigger.
