The blaugelb Triotherm+ pre-wall insulation system was unveiled to visitors at the recent Construction Week exhibition.

Meesenburg International Stand: B40

Suitable for commercial, new build and home improvement sectors, Triotherm+ is a Passive house approved product made from compacted EPS that is designed to be installed prior to fitting windows and doors.

Lightweight and strong, it provides a thermally efficient frame with ‘perfectly sealed’ corner joints, which according to blaugelb, are traditionally one of the weakest areas for thermal performance when installing windows and doors.

Triotherm+ is also said to provide improved acoustic performance as well as a more secure installation.

Part of the Meesenburg Group, the blaugelb brand is relatively new to the UK market, but has a long established reputation in Europe as a supplier of hardware and sealing solutions.

Vladyslav Vasylenko, regional manager for Meesenburg International, said: “Energy efficiency is a key priority for the UK fenestration industry. The introduction of new Part L regulations in June this year are just the first step, with even stricter requirements expected in 2025 that will prove a real challenge for existing window and door products.

“In addition, the huge increases we have seen recently in the cost of energy, have highlighted how important it is for buildings to be as energy efficient as possible,” he continued. “Homeowners are looking to invest in products that can reduce their energy bills, and there is also a growing requirement for commercial and new build projects to be as energy efficient and sustainable as possible.

“Triotherm+ pre-wall insulation is compatible with PVC and aluminium systems. By creating a perfectly sealed, highly insulated frame in the window, door or even roof lantern aperture, it provides an effective, long-term solution to enhance the energy efficiency of fenestration products.

“It’s a lightweight system that’s easy to install, you can cut it like timber and screw into it, and because the corners are ‘dovetailed’ together you use less sealant but still get a perfect, airtight joint.”
