Meesenburg presents a host of innovative and sustainable building solutions

Meesenburg International Stand: B40

Meesenburg Group is a leading dealer of specialist fittings, fastenings, tools, chemicals, and safety and security systems for the construction sector, and they have big expansion plans for the UK.

As a professional partner to the window and external door industry, the building trade, building owners, and facility management providers, they offer a comprehensive range of services alongside a broad portfolio of products including their own blaugelb, MeesenburgMatic and STROXX brands.

What can we expect to see from Meesenburg in the coming months?

Despite global uncertainty Meesenburg Group continue to invest both in home market in Germany as well as develop business in Central and Western Europe including UK. We are presenting a unique system solution to the UK market, a pre-wall mounting system for windows and doors called blaugelb Triotherm+. Placing windows into the insulation base, and therefore integrating them directly into the cladding system, represents a major step towards energy efficiency in window design. With the blaugelb Triotherm+ system, this can be achieved without much cost or effort and without restricting the planning or further execution. It has been tried and tested by IFT Rosenheim and certified by Passive House International, which is easy to fit and creates added value in all aspects of windows, doors, bi-fold and sliding systems installations.

The blaugelb Triotherm+ was awarded a Cradle to Cradle® (C2C) Silver Standard – can you tell us about the certification process?

The certification process went through a total of 5 modules: Material Health, Material Cycle, Renewable Energy, Water Management and Social Responsibility. In each of these modules, the material and process assessment is prepared. As a connection between installation companies, investors, architects and production companies, the first C2C certification of the blaugelb Triotherm+ Profiles gives all involved parties the opportunity to combine their projects in terms of economy and environment in the future.

“We are looking forward to many more C2C certifications of our Blaugelb products and to make our contributions to the continuous CO2 savings.” – Martin Meesenburg, Managing Director and Owner.

Tell us about the Meesenburg virtual showroom, and how this supports architects and specifiers when planning for projects?

In the line of digitalization strategy, the virtual show room was presented to the public in 2022. It brings to new level collaboration with our clients and stakeholders. It could be of great use for the architectural community as it provides not only 3D visualization of Meesenburg main systems, which could be essential for end customer, but also a complete engineering pack including BIM models necessary for architects and specifiers.

What are you focused on for 2023?

Our company motto is “in the region, for the region”, and we plan to bring this concept to the UK by offering professional advice, efficient logistics, and customised solutions whether on the customer’s premises, through sales representatives, telephone sales, or online.

PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT: Triotherm+ Profiles

A major area of application of the blaugelb Triotherm+ profiles is for extending the masonry jamb in the insulation layer of the façade, as the load-bearing, dimensionally stable installation surface for the assembly parts to be fitted. The blaugelb Triotherm+ profiles can introduce the resulting forces reliably into the load-bearing structure via the mechanical fastening. The permanently dimensionally stable blaugelb Triotherm+ profiles always form a level plane for the regulation-compliant sealing of connecting joints between construction elements.

blaugelb Triotherm+ profiles made from a high-density EPS (expanded polystyrene) are one of the three system components of the blaugelb Triotherm+ system. The robust, hard-wearing profiles exhibit load-bearing capacity, can be fitted to the load-bearing structure quickly and easily, and offer thermally isolated load transfer – thermal bridges from the structurally necessary fastening of construction elements are reduced to a minimum. The blaugelb Triotherm+ profiles can be integrated perfectly into the insulating zones of all façade systems.

The waste-free joining of the blaugelb Triotherm+ profiles brings clear advantages for the fitter by virtue of the extruded, positive-locking dovetail design. Thanks to their low weight and compact dimensions, the blaugelb Triotherm+ profiles are unbeatably quick and straightforward to process. Expert sealing and mechanical fastening of the blaugelb Triotherm+ profiles to the load-bearing base is necessary, but takes only a few minutes.
