The high speed is achieved by the laser, which focuses the thermal energy precisely on the scoring contour in the film. As the transformation temperature is reached more quickly, the overall cutting process takes significantly less time. The thicker the LSG, the greater the time savings compared to conventional technology. 
Due to the strong focus, the edge area of the glass remains cold, so subsequent cuts can be made without the need for cooling and waiting times. During heating, only the heated film is pulled apart in the cut area, thus minimising one of the causes of delamination.
