What does your role entail? My role is varied and challenging, but also very rewarding. In addition to day-to-day tasks such as dealing with numerous emails, I conduct stock reviews for all suppliers in my portfolio, assist my team with any issues and help to identify further problems before they arise. I will also meet with the managers of other departments in order to improve processes within the company, liaise between the sales and warehouse teams and lead projects that are designed to improve the efficiency of the department.
What was your first job and how did you progress to the fenestration industry? I was an administration volunteer at Ashdown Medway Accommodation Trust, and when I eventually decided to look for a career opportunity that would allow me to move on from my volunteer work, I was fortunate enough to be offered an interview at VBH.
What do you enjoy most about your role? Coming up with solutions to problems, improving efficiencies and guiding my team forward in their own roles.
