Continuing its most successful year in business, outdoor living specialists the Milwood Group can now add G18 finalists to their list of achievements, with their new Training Academy being nominated for ‘Training & Development Initiative of the Year’.
Launched in April, the Milwood Group Training Academy provides newly-appointed trade partners and their installation teams with in-depth product and installation training direct from the manufacturer. Based in Leicestershire at Milwood’s central distribution centre, the academy is a completely free service which covers Milwood’s extensive range of kit-based aluminium shelter solutions including verandas, canopies, carports and pergolas.
“We are absolutely thrilled to see our new Training Academy nominated at the G Awards,” comments Mark Wood, Managing Director of Kent-based Milwood Group. “The Training Academy is the result of much hard-work and over £40,000 of investment to make sure our customers are fully prepared to take advantage of the outdoor living market.
“The feedback we’ve received has been overwhelmingly positive and the results speak from themselves with 50 graduates in just the first three months of opening. A G Award nomination is really the icing on the cake, and win or lose, we are incredibly proud to see our academy and our commitment to our trade partners recognised by our industry peers.”
Since opening, the Training Academy has become an integral part of Milwood’s onboarding process and compulsory for new customers to complete before receiving their first order. The aim is to not only help customers save time and money on site, but to help them sell and install Milwood shelters with complete confidence. Milwood will find out if their Training Academy has won at the glitzy black-tie event at London’s Hilton Hotel on Park Lane on Friday, November 30th.
