Incredible Value and Ease of Installation sees Korniche praised by Self-Builders
The innovative and revolutionary Korniche Roof Lantern receives prestigious trophy at the 2022 Built It Awards.
Whether extending, developing or taking on a new self-build from scratch, a Korniche Roof Lantern is the most cost-effective, innovative, and simple to install system on the market. That’s the message that was reinforced with yet another award for the office shelves at Made for Trade’s Wynyard HQ, when the team picked up the winner’s trophy for the ‘Best Roofing System or Product’ for the Korniche Lantern Roof, at the prestigious 2022 Built It Awards.
For the last 11 years, the Build It Awards highlight, recognise and celebrate the very best people, products and services available in the self-build industry. From houses themselves to technology and even self-build finance lenders, the plethora of awards consider each and every last detail to judge the ultimate offerings in their respective fields, and when applied to the self-builder.
From its very first unveiling at the 2016 FIT Show, the Korniche Lantern Roof was truly a ‘step-change’ product. With never before seen use of engineering precision derived from the automotive and motorsport world applied to a fenestration system, the benefits of the Korniche were twofold – and still nothing comes close.
First was the product itself, with unrivalled sightlines, precision details, elegance, and value for money. Secondly, moreover, was the incredible speed and ease of fitting; a real game-changer and money-saver compared to existing products, and designed in such a way that installation does not require specialist glazing experience; a factor recognised by the self-build award win.
From the comprehensive illustrated graphic installation manual, to the marked components, and fuss-free glazing requiring no messy silicone or quantity guesswork, the installation time is vastly reduced regardless of the installer, whilst being available for an unbeatable price. As a result, the Korniche is the number one product to save costs whilst revolutionising installation, whether that be for the trade partner, or a real hands-on self-builder.
The Build It Awards have always been regarded as the most coveted recognition in the self-build industry, mainly as a result of the rigorous, impartial judging panel of specialists, which affords real credibility for all winners. As the last of the main industry awards attended by the MFT team during 2022, this year’s prestigious event took place at the end of November, with a Gala Dinner in the heart of London. Celebrating excellence in self-building, the awards go hand-in-hand with the far-reaching and widely-circulated Build It Magazine; the longest-running consumer title in the UK for self-builders and renovators.
The double-exposure from these two related operations are both well established in the industry; catering for a knowledgeable and expert audience. Crucially though, this is not just in a professional capacity with architects and tradespeople, but also homeowners, new self-builders, and those planning new projects. Picking up the award as part of a selection of categories that extended beyond the fenestration sector – from financial to architectural – added a new visibility to Made For Trade’s commercial perception; as well as seeing the desirable Korniche brand recognised in a new sphere of trade, industry – and enthusiastic new consumers.
As well as coming away with the top prize for the ‘Best Roofing System or Product’, a second recognition was also celebrated, as the Korniche Bi-Folding Door was shortlisted for the award of Best Glazed Doors. The two shortlists alone were a significant milestone for the MFT team, rounding out another enviable year for the North East-based family business, and going a long way to show just how far the brand has come, and how popular its reputation that sees Korniche being requested by name alone from both the public and trade installers.
Speaking of the double-shortlisting and the incredible award win, MFT Marketing Manager Ian Bousfield said: “Recognition and understanding of the Korniche brand and products continues to become more and more established in the fabric of the wider building industry. Made for Trade work hard and continually invest in product development, marketing, and brand awareness to ensure that Korniche offers the very best platform for our partners and customers, to allow them to sell multi award-winning products at the best prices.”
