DoorCo confirms FIT Show 2022 was a resounding success for the leading composite door manufacturer, providing the perfect platform to reconnect with the market, do some serious business and have some fun along the way.

Dan Sullivan, MD, DoorCo Ltd comments: “One of DoorCo’s main objectives for the exhibition was to connect and FIT Show certainly delivered the perfect platform. Although the scale of the event was smaller than previous years, the quality of the visitors meant there was some serious business to be done. Our stand was constantly busy throughout the show, and particularly at lunch time where people were literally queuing around the block for our Korean tapas or on Wednesday evening – the Kubu X DoorCo party was definitely the place to be!

“Our other objective for FIT was to demonstrate to the market what DoorCo 2022 really looks like. Bringing together our house of brands, new innovations and technology certainly gave visitors insight into the world of DoorCo and cemented our position as the UK’s leading composite door manufacturer. GRiPCORE and FLiP generated a lot of interest, as well as the latest trends in design, PAiNT colour and GLAZiNG. Our Bright Magma door was a real standout, not just because of the shade but also thanks to the striking contrast of the black Inox cassette and matching hardware. For those preferring something more subtle, the Anthracite Grey hardware and FLiP TWiNTONE cassette designs, which will be launched in Anthracite Grey Flat Stipple shortly, also attracted much attention.

“There was also a great interest in the different textures DoorCo offers, like our designer PATiNA finish which is designed solely for the iconic Monza II door to highlight its unique texture. The new Matte Black door colour, and new metallic finishes which we’re developing for FLiP also spiked interest. Having them on display was very powerful as people could really appreciate the true textures and finishes, which are hard to represent in a lifestyle brochure.

“However, DoorCo is more than just our innovative composite door products. We are a business underpinned by two important factors: People and technology. Both were well represented at the show.

“The revolving door design wall - a particular feature that many appreciated - allowed us to showcase the wide range of door designs DoorCo has to offer without cramming the stand full of physical product.

“The team were there in force too. Representatives from our overseas partner DoorCo KR, directors, senior management, customer services, sales, marketing, IT and manufacturing were all present. This mix demonstrated that DoorCo truly is a family run, independently owned business; we’re agile, flexible and able to make decisions that benefit all stakeholders, quickly. This versatility was apparent and appreciated during many conversations throughout the exhibition.

“In addition, for some of the team it was the first time out of the DoorCo offices. Being part of FIT provided them an excellent opportunity to see the wider innovations in place at the show first-hand, meet lots of new people in the same industry, understand the potential the window/door industry has to offer, and understand where DoorCo sits within it – as trend setters, not followers. I strongly believe this exposure will strengthen relationships and our business as a whole going forward.

“All in all, for DoorCo, the FIT Show was a resounding success! Thank you to all involved – from our visitors, to the teams that made it all happen.”
